In a unexpected collaboration that breaks usual expectations, Ubisoft has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "A strange encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The plot presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden sect.

The mission focuses on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Changes

The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Additional Features

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an special katana in addition to multiple objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
